The 369 Chess Club is proud to be part of a thriving, collaborative chess community, across Bristol and surrounding towns, cities and districts.
Many of the leaders and players within this community know, work with and support each other, and we're keen to help promote their good work and the chess opportunities they provide us all.
That includes our partner Portishead Chess Club, which specialises in chess for children, ChessFest which is hosted in Bristol, the Bristol & Districts Chess League, the Bristol Schools Chess League, the Somerset County junior chess players, the Chess in Schools and Communities charity, the Developing Moves chess coaching academy, all our fellow chess clubs, friends and competitors, and the English Chess Federation.
Bristol and the surrounding region is home to one of the largest chess leagues outside London since 1903.
The area hosts tournaments, congresses, competitions, social events, casual games and meet ups. To promote chess in the area and help players, Bristol Chess has its own website, that forms an epicentre of the local chess community.
At the link below, you can find details about all the chess clubs playing in the Bristol & District Chess league, upcoming events, help for schools and tournaments you can play in.
